Social Traders, an Australian organization dedicated to supporting social enterprises, has partnered with RobobAI, a global fintech company, to enhance transparency in supply chain spending. The collaboration aims to provide businesses with real-time insights into their procurement activities and the impact of sourcing from certified social enterprises.
RobobAI specializes in artificial intelligence-driven solutions that improve supply chain visibility and ethical sourcing. Through this partnership, businesses will be able to analyze and quantify their procurement spend with social enterprises, supporting efforts to align with sustainability and social responsibility goals.
According to Social Traders’ 2024 Report on Identified Social Enterprises (RISE), Australia has an estimated 12,000 social enterprises, with 5,795 identified in the report. These enterprises contribute approximately $5.7 billion annually to community initiatives and create 89,000 jobs.
The partnership aligns with Australia’s new mandatory sustainability reporting framework, which took effect on January 1, 2025, for large businesses and will expand to cover all businesses within the next three years. By integrating RobobAI’s AI-powered analytics with Social Traders’ certification framework, businesses can better track, report, and optimize their social procurement strategies.
Tara Anderson, CEO of Social Traders, stated: “This partnership supports our mission to integrate social impact into everyday business operations. By leveraging technology and data-driven insights, businesses can enhance their supply chain transparency and drive meaningful change.”
Julian Harris, CEO and Founder of RobobAI, added: “With access to Social Traders’ extensive database of certified social enterprises and RobobAI’s advanced analytics platform, businesses can gain detailed insights into supplier and category-level spending. This partnership empowers businesses to make more informed procurement decisions that drive social and environmental benefits.”
The collaboration is expected to support businesses in meeting social impact goals, improving compliance with sustainability reporting requirements, and fostering ethical procurement practices.
