A logistics company is investing $10 million to expand its operations in Pulaski County, adding 25 jobs and constructing a new warehouse in the New River Valley Commerce Park. This marks the company’s second expansion in the region within four years.
Patton Logistics Group, headquartered in Milton, Pennsylvania, provides warehousing, distribution, and transportation services. The company operates across Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Virginia, and North Carolina, employing 1,000 people.
The company first established a 250,000-square-foot logistics center in Pulaski County’s New River Valley Commerce Park in 2020. In 2021, it further expanded by adding an additional 100,000 square feet along with a trucking operations and maintenance center. The new expansion will include a 100,000-square-foot distribution and warehousing facility, located on 20 acres in the park, aimed at increasing its customer base in the Southeast.
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s office announced that the state approved a $100,000 grant to assist Pulaski County with the project. State and local authorities, including Virginia’s First Regional Industrial Facility Authority and the Onward New River Valley regional economic development organization, supported the initiative, which competed against locations in Maryland, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
Patton Logistics President Steve Patton noted that the expansion has turned into a key supply chain solution for the company’s clients. Secretary of Commerce and Trade Juan Pablo Segura highlighted the collaboration between state and local partners as a factor in the company’s successful expansion in the region.
