CEVA Logistics, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, has announced the integration of Bolloré Logistics into its operations. The move is part of CEVA’s strategic transformation to grow its core products and services in air, ocean, ground, and rail transport, contract logistics, finished vehicle logistics, project logistics, and customs solutions.
The integration process, which began after the acquisition of Bolloré Logistics by the CMA CGM Group on February 29, 2024, is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. This will result in a unified brand under CEVA Logistics, enhancing the company’s global logistics capabilities.
CEVA Logistics, with a pro forma 2023 revenue of $20.2 billion, has transported 1.9 million TEUs of ocean freight, and 800,000 tons of air freight, and managed 11.7 million square meters of warehouse space, supported by its 110,000 global employees.
The new vertical organization is designed to maximize performance and customer satisfaction by improving product development and operational excellence. CEVA’s vertically aligned product teams aim to engineer new solutions and apply them more quickly to customer challenges across all geographies.
The integration also includes combining Air and Ocean operations to capitalize on best practices and technology investments, notably in finalizing the implementation of CargoWise.
CEVA’s growth strategy has led to a strong network across the African continent and significant acquisitions to enhance its service offerings. These include Ingram Micro’s CLS division for e-commerce solutions, GEFCO for finished vehicle solutions, and now Bolloré Logistics for air and ocean freight management solutions.
The integration of Bolloré Logistics is a testament to CEVA’s commitment to providing consistent global services and strengthening its position as a leading logistics provider.
