A key topic of discussion was the development of the Alatau Smart City project, which represents a priority area for joint urban and infrastructure initiatives. Kazakhstan emphasized its support for partnerships that bring advanced technologies and efficient planning into modern infrastructure projects, creating potential benefits across the supply chain ecosystem.
Civil aviation links were also highlighted, with 11 direct flights currently operating between the two countries and a 20 percent increase in mutual tourism in 2025. Improved air connectivity is expected to enhance the flow of goods, services, and people, strengthening logistics networks and supply chain resilience.
The meeting further explored the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, known as the Middle Corridor, as a key strategy to expand trade and optimize transit potential. Strengthening this route and other transport corridors will allow for more efficient movement of goods, reduce bottlenecks, and create a more integrated regional supply chain framework.
Officials confirmed their commitment to maintaining active coordination, preparing for upcoming visits, and advancing projects that support mutual economic growth and sustainable supply chain development.
