Mahindra pointed out the ongoing upheavals and transformations in global affairs, noting that interdependencies and the concept of a “flat world” might no longer hold relevance in the evolving global landscape.
He also underscored India’s resilience, highlighting the nation’s political stability and military strength, as well as its efficient democratic processes, exemplified by the smooth conduct of recent elections where over a billion people voted. Mahindra suggested that India’s positioning could make it a cornerstone of global supply chains as international partnerships continue to evolve.
Mahindra also conveyed optimism about India’s ability to remain insulated from unpredictable global trends, positioning the country as less vulnerable to external uncertainties compared to other nations. He extended this confidence to the Mahindra Group, which he believes is well-positioned to capitalize on growth opportunities both within India and globally.
Reflecting on the New Year, Mahindra spoke about the word “Manifest” chosen by the Cambridge Dictionary for the year. He interpreted it not only as a call to demonstrate one’s aspirations but also as an encouragement to actively work toward achieving them.
In discussing the Mahindra Group’s progress, Mahindra celebrated the company’s accomplishments, including the success of Mahindra Susten, Mahindra Lifespace, and Mahindra Finance. He also highlighted key achievements in the automotive division, particularly the launch of two premium electric vehicles, which have garnered strong positive responses from Indian customers.
