The United Arab Emirates is accelerating the expansion of its national passenger rail network by bringing forward the opening of two stations in the Al Dhafra region to 30 November 2026, reinforcing transport connectivity and supporting more efficient movement during the region’s peak travel season.
The earlier opening is expected to improve mobility for residents and visitors while strengthening connections across western Abu Dhabi and the country’s expanding rail network. Enhanced rail access will support smoother transportation, improve regional connectivity and complement the UAE’s broader logistics infrastructure.
The station openings are part of the UAE’s phased nationwide passenger rail rollout, which is gradually expanding rail services across multiple emirates. The growing network is expected to improve connectivity between key economic centers, support tourism and strengthen long-term transportation efficiency.
