Cambodia is strengthening its logistics and trade infrastructure through continued cooperation with European partners under a multi-year initiative focused on improving export competitiveness.
Recent discussions reviewed progress in modernizing logistics systems, expanding e-business, improving customs procedures, and connecting Cambodian businesses with regional and global value chains.
A key area of development is air cargo, including pre-arrival customs processing that allows shipment information to be submitted and reviewed before an aircraft arrives. This approach can support faster customs clearance and more efficient movement of goods.
The initiative also focuses on strengthening small and medium-sized enterprises by expanding export support, developing digital skills, and improving data security, privacy, and consumer protection.
These efforts are helping Cambodia build a more efficient and digitally enabled supply chain while strengthening trade connectivity and access to international markets.
