Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw outlined the key areas of focus for India at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025, which will include discussions on inclusive growth, investments in infrastructure, and the democratization of technology. He emphasized the growing global interest in India’s economic policy, digital transformation, and the Digital India program.
Vaishnaw highlighted that India’s focus on inclusive development, which aims to bring transformative changes to the lives of people at the grassroots level, will be a central theme of the discussions. He noted the country’s efforts to address gaps in infrastructure and provide essential services such as bank accounts, toilets, gas connections, and tap water in both rural and urban areas.
The WEF 2025, scheduled to take place in Davos from January 20-24, will bring together government, business, and civil society leaders to discuss solutions for global challenges. This year’s agenda will focus on themes such as reimagining growth, industries in the intelligent age, investing in people, safeguarding the planet, and rebuilding trust.
More than 350 governmental leaders, including 60 heads of state and government, are expected to participate in the forum, which will be held under the theme “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age.”
