Thailand and Malaysia are emerging as important beneficiaries of the global AI hardware boom, supported by strong manufacturing capabilities across electronics, semiconductors, servers, storage systems and data-center equipment.
Thailand has developed significant capacity in servers, printed circuit boards, power equipment and hard-disk drives, while Malaysia plays a major role in semiconductor assembly, packaging and testing. Together, the two countries are becoming increasingly important links in Asia’s expanding AI supply chain.
The growth of AI infrastructure investment is creating new opportunities for Southeast Asia, strengthening regional manufacturing networks and supporting greater diversification across the global technology supply chain.
