Germany is expanding its logistics infrastructure with a new 27,000-square-metre trimodal logistics hub at the Port of Hamburg, scheduled to open in 2028. The facility will connect rail, road and maritime transport, creating additional capacity for international cargo flows.
The development is expected to improve cargo handling, warehousing and transshipment while strengthening connections between Germany’s industrial regions and global markets. With direct rail and waterside access, the hub could support more efficient freight movement and improve supply-chain resilience.
