The Seoul Mobility Show 2025 is scheduled to take place from April 3 to 13 at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, this year’s event will feature advancements in mobility technologies spanning land, sea, and air, reflecting the evolving landscape of transportation.
Themed “Mobility, Everywhere,” the exhibition aims to highlight the integration of mobility innovations into daily life. Approximately 450 companies from 12 countries are expected to participate, marking the largest turnout in the event’s history.
Notable automotive manufacturers such as Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis will showcase their latest models and technological advancements. Kia plans to present a lineup of purpose-based mobility (PBV) vehicles alongside various electric models. Motrex, specializing in vehicle infotainment, will unveil PBVs utilizing Hyundai’s “ST1” platform.
International brands are also making their presence felt. China’s BYD and the UK’s Lotus will participate for the first time. BYD is set to introduce its mid-sized sedan “Seal” to the domestic market. HD Hyundai will debut next-generation construction machinery models, underscoring the convergence of various industries within the mobility sector.
Hyundai Mobis plans to unveil its “Holographic Windshield Display (HUD)” technology, developed in collaboration with Germany’s ZEISS. This next-generation display projects clear images onto the vehicle’s front window, enhancing the driving experience. Additionally, Hyundai Mobis will showcase “Mobion,” a demonstration vehicle equipped with the “e-corner system,” enabling unique maneuvers such as side-driving and 360-degree rotation.
The event will also feature advancements in autonomous driving. From April 3 to 6, the “Autonomous Driving Technology Development Innovation Project Phase 1 Performance Sharing Event” will present research and development achievements, including Level 4+ autonomous driving platforms and core electronic components.
Expanding beyond traditional automotive innovations, the show will include maritime technologies such as eco-friendly ships and aviation advancements like Urban Air Mobility (UAM). These sectors aim to enhance transportation efficiency, sustainability, and accessibility.
The Seoul Mobility Forum will serve as a significant side event, examining trends and innovative technologies in the global mobility industry. The forum will commence with keynote speeches from domestic and international mobility innovation companies and will include the Asia Mobility Forum, which reviews the mobility status of major Asian countries, and the Automotive Mobility Industry Development Forum, which discusses domestic policies.
The Seoul Mobility Show, recognized by the World Automobile Industry Association (OICA), has been held biennially since 1995. Reflecting shifts in the mobility industry, the event was rebranded from “Seoul Motor Show” to “Seoul Mobility Show” in 2021, evolving to encompass emerging trends and technologies.
