in Luxury Goods

For its annual ranking of influential figures in the fashion realm, Forbes has spotlighted three Filipino-American personalities: Bretman Rock, Bella Poarch, and Patrick Starrr.

The renowned American magazine identifies these fashion-forward creators as individuals who significantly influence global tastes and trends in arts, style, and luxury goods.

In collaboration with the creator marketing agency Influential, Forbes curated a list featuring 50 creators boasting a collective audience of 1.1 billion followers across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

The selection process involved evaluating creators based on their follower count, engagement rates, and entrepreneurial endeavors. Ratings ranged from one to four, reflecting how creators generate income, either through traditional advertising or by establishing their own brands and services.

Securing the 7th position on the list is Bretman Rock, a Hawaii-based Filipino-American with 52 million followers and an average engagement rate of 3.4%. Known initially for humorous makeup tutorials, Rock has expanded his influence, covering Vogue Philippines and Playboy. His collaborations include major brands like Nike and Valentino, and he recently authored a book titled “You’re That Bitch: And Other Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself.”

Patrick Starrr, recognized as the 12th top fashion creator, has a follower count of 12 million and an engagement rate of 1.40%. Having commenced his content creation journey on YouTube in 2013, Starrr has become a prominent figure in the industry. He launched his cosmetics label, One/Size, available at Sephora, and has collaborated with renowned brands such as Warner Bros., Benefit Cosmetics, and MAC Cosmetics. Starrr is also a licensed esthetician as of March this year.

Pop singer-influencer Bella Poarch secured the 22nd spot with 112 million followers and an average engagement score of 0.65%. A Filipina-American Navy veteran, Poarch transitioned from TikTok fame to become a pop music and fashion sensation. Her ventures include releasing the album ‘Dolls,’ partnering with luxury brands Miu Miu and Hugo Boss, anchoring Steve Madden’s fall campaign, and modeling for Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty. Forbes also recognized Poarch in its Top Creators of 2023, noting her earnings of $3.3 million.

The top position on the Forbes Top Creators: Fashion 50 list went to Emma Chamberlain, boasting 28 million total followers and an impressive average engagement of 6.25%. Chamberlain has collaborated with renowned brands such as Louis Vuitton, Canon, Levi’s, and serves as an ambassador for luxury jewelry brand Cartier. Additionally, she holds the title of the youngest global face of the beauty brand Lancome.
