LONDON, United Kingdom — Tarek Ezzeddine, the Managing Director of Shipon Logistics Ltd, will represent the Ghanaian freight forwarding and supply chain sector at the International Trade Council Global Convocation & Leadership Forum. This three-day programme, taking place across various venues in London from 26 to 28 November 2026, serves as a high-level platform for senior business leaders, trade officials, and policymakers to discuss the future of global market access and supply chain resilience.

Shipon Logistics Ltd, a comprehensive logistics provider headquartered in the maritime hub of Tema, plays a vital role in the movement of goods across West Africa. The company manages complex transportation networks involving sea, air, and land routes, providing essential services such as customs clearance, warehousing, and domestic haulage. As Ghana continues to establish itself as a primary gateway for landlocked nations like Burkina Faso, the firm’s expertise in navigating regional port operations and customs protocols is increasingly significant to international trade partners.

During the forum, Mr Ezzeddine intends to highlight the strategic importance of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and its impact on regional logistics. By engaging with global delegates, Shipon Logistics aims to foster new international partnerships that connect West African markets more effectively with trade hubs in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The company’s participation comes at a time when global supply chains are seeking greater diversification and reliable entry points into emerging African markets.

The company operates with a workforce of between 11 and 50 logistics professionals and maintains a global reach through its membership in the World Cargo Alliance (WCA). This network provides Shipon Logistics with access to thousands of partner offices worldwide, allowing it to offer end-to-end solutions including door-to-door delivery and specialized supply chain consultancy. The firm is also a registered member of the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF), reflecting its adherence to professional standards in the regional maritime and transport industry.

In addition to standard freight services, Shipon Logistics manages specialized project cargo for the energy and construction sectors. This includes the handling of oversized and heavy equipment, a service that is critical for infrastructure development across the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Mr Ezzeddine’s presence at the forum will provide practical insights into the logistical challenges and opportunities associated with large-scale industrial projects in the region.

The efficiency of West African supply chains is a fundamental component of international commerce, particularly as we work to reduce trade barriers across the continent. At Shipon Logistics, we focus on providing the technical expertise and local knowledge necessary to ensure that goods move seamlessly from the port of Tema to their final destination, whether that is within Ghana or across borders to our landlocked neighbours.

By participating in the Global Convocation & Leadership Forum, we aim to demonstrate how regional expertise in customs brokerage and heavy-lift logistics can support global trade objectives. Our focus remains on enhancing transparency and operational excellence, ensuring that our clients can navigate the complexities of West African trade with confidence and reliability.

The insights gathered during the three-day programme in London will inform Shipon Logistics’ future strategy as it seeks to expand its operational footprint. By collaborating with international trade experts and technology providers, the company aims to further modernise its service offerings and continue its role as a key facilitator of trade within the ECOWAS region.
