February 14, 2024 – South Africa hosted the grand launch of Zandaux, a multi-vendor platform designed to enhance business connectivity and transform the B2B e-commerce landscape across Africa. This launch follows successful entries into the Kenyan and Nigerian markets in January, reinforcing Zandaux’s commitment to uniting businesses under its “One Africa, One Market” initiative. Zandaux aims to bridge the gap between small and large enterprises, providing a platform that enables businesses to access previously unreachable markets. The platform has garnered attention for its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features, which are tailored to support businesses of various sizes.
Franck Obambi Ngatse, CEO of Zandaux, underscored the platform’s importance, noting, “Our African market is made up of 70% small businesses. These businesses often struggle with budget constraints to reach their target audience. With Zandaux, businesses can now access markets they might not have reached otherwise, fostering a connected e-commerce environment focused on business collaboration.” The launch event featured a keynote address by Mr. Daniel Maloba, Founder of Umoja Edtech and Maloba Consulting, who emphasized the need for innovative solutions to combat poverty in Africa. “Zandaux recognizes that combating poverty requires more than addressing immediate needs; it demands a fundamental reshaping of the economic landscape,” he stated. “Through their platform, they empower businesses of all sizes to connect, collaborate, and thrive, laying the foundation for sustained economic growth and prosperity across the continent.”
Since its inception in 2020, Zandaux has made significant progress, listing over 15,000 products and attracting nearly 1,000 merchants across the four countries where it operates. Dennis Reumer, Chief Technology Officer of Zandaux, highlighted the platform’s capabilities: “Zandaux allows over 1,000 manufacturers and suppliers across Africa to sell to clients inside and outside their borders, facilitating communication between buyers and sellers.” Looking ahead, Zandaux plans to launch in Egypt on February 29, 2024. With its innovative approach to B2B connectivity, Zandaux aims to drive economic growth and foster a unified marketplace that empowers businesses to thrive in the digital age.
