The inaugural Seatrade Maritime Qatar Conference and Exhibition will take place on February 4-5, 2025, at the Sheraton Doha Hotel and Resort. Hosted by the Ministry of Transport (MoT) and organized by Mwani Qatar in collaboration with Seatrade Maritime, the event will bring together global experts, specialists, and decision-makers to discuss critical topics in the maritime industry.
Key discussions will center on safe and sustainable shipping, digital transformation, clean energy transitions, and the role of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Financing advanced and environmentally friendly fleets and building strategic partnerships will also be highlighted.
The event aims to align with Qatar’s strategic vision of becoming a leading regional hub for trade and logistics, reflecting the Qatar National Vision 2030. The accompanying exhibition will showcase the latest technologies in maritime transportation, supporting national companies and advancing the sector to boost the economy and trade exchange.
Sponsors include Mwani Qatar as the founding strategic partner, Ooredoo as the telecom sponsor, and key organizations like the Qatar Free Zones Authority, Milaha, and QTerminals Group. Other notable sponsors are Nakilat, ABS, Invest Qatar, DNV, and Lloyd’s Register, among others.
Najla Al Jaber, of the MoT Road Affairs Department, emphasized that the event aligns with the Ministry’s plans to develop the maritime transportation industry through sustainability, digitization, and strategic collaborations. Hamad Ali Al Ansari, Chairman of the Organising Committee, highlighted the event’s role in showcasing Qatar’s advancements in maritime infrastructure and fostering new opportunities for global partnerships.
