These items accounted for 85% of Vietnam’s overall export value to China.
Phones and components topped the export list, reaching $10.8 billion, followed by computers, electronic products, and components at $9.09 billion. Machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts saw a turnover of $2.45 billion.
Vietnam also exported $1.43 billion worth of footwear to China, marking a 5.9% year-on-year growth. Although rubber exports decreased by 4.6%, earning $1.37 billion, timber and wooden products experienced a significant surge, with earnings growing by 25.3% to $1.53 billion.
Fruit and vegetable exports saw a notable 37.8% increase, bringing in $3.79 billion, while seafood exports also grew by 19.8%, reaching $1.21 billion.
In recent developments, China has opened its market to several Vietnamese agricultural products, including bird’s nests, fresh and frozen durian, and fresh coconuts. Experts believe that Vietnamese fruits have significant potential for further growth in the Chinese market, with more products expected to generate billions in revenue in the coming years.
