Logistics Manager is set to moderate a special panel discussion on the future of fuel for fleets at Akabo Media’s co-located IntraLogisteX, Robotics and Automation, and Sustainable Supply Chain exhibitions on March 19-20, 2024, at the NEC Birmingham.
This session, the first of two Logistics Manager panel discussions at the co-located shows, is titled “Biofuels: the future of fleet?” It will be held at the Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition Theatre on Day Two of the event. Experts from the logistics and supply chain sector will explore how the use of different fuels can assist businesses in reducing carbon emissions and achieving sustainability objectives.
The Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition Theatre, introduced for 2024, will feature case-study presentations from exhibitors highlighting the benefits of their products and services, as well as seminars from industry thought leaders and experts in the sustainability field.
James McLoughlin, assistant editor at Logistics Manager, expressed anticipation for the discussion. He stated, “As most modern businesses prioritize emissions reduction and sustainability, there’s a crucial conversation emerging regarding the future of fleets in logistics and the supply chain. While electric vehicles and hydrogen dominate discussions, the potential of biofuels often goes overlooked. This panel aims to delve into various biofuels, comparing them to other fuel sources, and envisioning the fueling of future fleets.”
The Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition Theatre will host presentations by keynote speakers covering topics such as decarbonization, the circular economy, achieving net-zero targets, and the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing sustainability strategies.
With an expected attendance of 8,000 across all three co-located events, attendees will represent diverse sectors, including automotive, healthcare, F&B, retail, 3PLs, transport, distribution, and government/public sector.
Stay tuned to the Logistics Manager website for further updates on the event, including details of speakers delivering insightful presentations across the conference theatres at the exhibitions.
