SEOUL, South Korea — Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) announced a collaboration with the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association (KMDIA) aimed at supporting Korean medical device manufacturers and exporters as they expand into international markets. The initiative focuses on enhancing logistics capabilities, improving export readiness, and providing regulatory guidance to companies within the sector.
KMDIA represents approximately 1,100 member companies, accounting for more than 70% of South Korea’s total medical device exports. Through the collaboration, FedEx plans to provide logistics support and resources designed to strengthen the global competitiveness of Korean medical exporters.
Under the agreement, KMDIA members will receive discounts of up to 60% on FedEx international shipping services, including FedEx International Priority Express, FedEx International Priority, and FedEx International Economy. These services are designed to support time-sensitive shipments and help exporters meet regulatory and delivery requirements across multiple markets.
In addition to shipping discounts, FedEx will offer educational webinars and personalized consultations for KMDIA members. The sessions will cover customs clearance procedures, regulatory compliance considerations, and export best practices. The initiative aims to help manufacturers optimize supply chains and navigate international trade requirements more efficiently.
