DICK’S Sporting Goods has announced plans to establish a new 800,000-square-foot regional distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas. This facility is expected to create 300 new full-time jobs in the region over the next decade. The new center will enhance DICK’S distribution capabilities across Texas and serve over 100 DICK’S Sporting Goods stores in several states.
Fort Worth was selected for its business-friendly environment, skilled workforce, and strategic location, which aligns with DICK’S expanding presence in Texas. The new facility will be part of DICK’S existing distribution network, which includes locations in Georgia, New York, Arizona, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. Sean Whitehouse, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain at DICK’S, stated that the Fort Worth center will support the company’s growth and improve the efficiency of product distribution, benefiting both in-store and online shoppers. He also expressed enthusiasm for contributing to the Fort Worth community.
The distribution center will be located on an 89.5-acre site within the Risinger/35 Logistics Park, developed by Hillwood. The facility will incorporate sustainability features such as energy-efficient lighting, recycled materials, and advanced energy management systems. Construction is set to begin in early fall, with the facility expected to open in early 2026. The project will also generate more than 800 temporary construction jobs during the building phase.
