Dubai Trade has launched its upgraded Digital Delivery Order (DDO) platform, now branded as Trade+, to enhance the efficiency of trade operations across Dubai’s supply chain and logistics sectors. This upgrade aims to streamline processes and expedite cargo release workflows, offering significant improvements to operational efficiency.
Trade+ facilitates the digital exchange of cargo release documents among shipping lines, freight forwarders, consignees, and other stakeholders. The platform’s digitization reduces the time required for cargo release, cutting down a process that previously took up to 48 hours to as little as 10 minutes. Integrated into the Dubai Trade Single Window for Trade and Logistics, Trade+ is expected to reduce transaction times by an average of 90%, improving trade volume handling and operational speed.
In addition to boosting efficiency, Trade+ provides environmental benefits by eliminating paper-based processes. The platform has already saved an estimated 2.36 million documents from being printed in 2024, also helping to reduce carbon emissions from travel, fuel consumption, and congestion.
Dubai Trade has committed significant resources to the development of Trade+ and will continue to refine the platform to meet the evolving needs of businesses, ensuring enhanced value in trade operations. This launch is in alignment with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, which aims to position the city as a global trade and logistics hub and further its Smart City vision by embracing digital and sustainable technologies.
