BDO and FAST Logistics Strengthen Partnership for Sustainable Development

BDO Unibank Inc. (BDO) is enhancing its partnership with FAST Logistics to support initiatives that contribute to green and inclusive development. This collaboration aligns with BDO’s commitment to sustainable economic growth through impact financing.

FAST Logistics, a leader in logistics and supply chain management in the Philippines, has launched significant projects such as the development of advanced mega warehouses and distribution centers. These projects aim to minimize environmental impact by improving efficiency and optimizing resource use.

William B. Chiongbian II, Group President of FAST Logistics, acknowledged BDO’s ongoing support in their transition towards digitization and eco-friendly operations. He credited BDO’s deep understanding of their business as pivotal to the partnership’s success.

FAST Logistics has introduced a fleet of Electric Vehicles and converted its warehouse in Cabuyao, Laguna, and cold storage facility in Cavite to solar power. Currently, five of the group’s facilities run entirely on renewable energy, with plans to convert additional facilities in Luzon and Cebu.

The company is also exploring sustainable fuel sources for its fleet to further reduce its carbon footprint. With continuous innovation, FAST Logistics aims to serve more clients while prioritizing sustainability.

BDO’s support extends beyond funding, assisting FAST Logistics with digitization through Cash Management Services. These services streamline cash flow management with tools like Corporate Cash Deposit Machines and online payment solutions.

The partnership, spanning nearly three decades, has facilitated FAST Logistics’ expansion and response to the growing demand for sustainable services. BDO’s role in this partnership underscores its dedication to fostering eco-friendly business practices for a greener future.
