Over the past ten years, Amel International Services Limited has significantly impacted Nigeria’s Food and Beverage industry, aligning itself with the “Made in Nigeria” campaign through its commitment to quality and sustainability. The company, which introduced its flagship brand Amel Susan in May 2014, has become known for its premium baking ingredients and breakfast cereals.

Amel International has not only been recognized within the local market but has also made its mark on the international stage. It is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Manufacturer’s Association of Nigeria (MAN), the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), and The International Trade Council (ITC), reflecting its commitment to excellence and sustainable practices.

The brand’s achievements were highlighted when it was named Africa’s Best World-Class Baking Ingredients And Cereal Products Company of the Year 2023 by the African Brands Congress. Additionally, it received the Excellence in Food Manufacturing award at the Go Global Awards, further cementing its status in the industry.

In an effort to expand its global reach, Amel International partnered with Chamuze Online in 2023 to explore the online international market. This strategic move has allowed Amel Susan products to transcend geographical boundaries, resulting in increased revenue and an expanded customer base. A significant milestone was achieved with the brand’s successful entry into the US market, following a supply contract secured with Wazobia African Market in Houston, USA, after participating in the FITCC exhibition.

Looking ahead, Amel International Services Limited is poised for further growth. The company is nearing the completion of a state-of-the-art factory that promises to enhance its innovation, efficiency, and expansion efforts. Additionally, it remains committed to social responsibility with initiatives like “Feed Two Million Nigerians,” aiming to provide nourishing meals to millions across the nation, and the Amel Susan Future Heroes Challenge, which focuses on enhancing culinary skills among secondary and high school students.

As Amel Susan celebrates its tenth anniversary, its journey from a local startup to a key player in the African food and beverage landscape showcases the potential for indigenous companies to drive significant change. With its focus on quality, sustainability, and community development, Amel International Services Limited stands as a testament to the power of Nigerian entrepreneurship and innovation in the global market.
