Flexport has introduced over 20 new technology and AI-powered products aimed at improving global logistics and supply chain management. Among the key innovations is Flexport Intelligence, a tool that enables businesses to ask supply chain-related questions in natural language and receive real-time insights. This feature allows users to create reports and dashboards without requiring technical expertise, simplifying supply chain oversight for operations managers.
Another notable launch is the Flexport Control Tower, which enables businesses to utilize Flexport’s supply chain technology for shipments, even when other carriers or forwarders are involved. According to the company, early adopters of the Control Tower have seen an average reduction of 10% in freight costs. Additionally, the system now offers expanded capabilities in order management, allocation management, and third-party booking, along with carrier and supplier scorecards.
“By introducing these AI-driven supply chain solutions, Flexport has positioned itself as a leading provider of AI tools in global logistics,” said Ryan Petersen, CEO of Flexport. He noted that while other companies are developing AI-powered logistics tools, they often face challenges related to data availability and customer adoption. Flexport’s extensive experience and scale in the logistics sector provide a competitive advantage in both innovation and deployment.
Flexport is also rolling out a real-time pricing engine for door-to-door and ocean freight services. Additional enhancements to the platform include improved visibility and notification features, designed to detect shipment delays, predict delivery schedules more accurately, and enhance tracking capabilities.
“Flexport’s technology isn’t just about automation – it’s about augmentation,” said Sanne Manders, President of Flexport. “Our tools empower businesses by complementing human expertise, ensuring the highest quality service and efficiency.”
The company plans to continue its technological advancements through a semi-annual product release cycle, with the next updates expected later this year.
