Roorkee, India — Logicboots Private Limited, a medtech startup based at TIDES, IIT Roorkee, has introduced a new wireless stethoscope designed to help detect early-stage heart and lung diseases. Under the leadership of Founder and CEO Amit Singh, the device uses Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities and advanced AI algorithms to predict potential health conditions from real-time data.
Unlike current digital stethoscopes on the market, which record sounds but offer limited diagnostic capabilities, Logicboots’ invention focuses on predictive analysis. According to the company, the device can remotely capture and analyze ECG data, with AI algorithms identifying abnormalities in heart and lung functions. This technology aims to address the need for early diagnosis, particularly amid rising cases of heart and lung disease, which often go undetected until later stages. Early detection traditionally involves multiple tests, which can be time-consuming and expensive.
The compact, wireless design of the stethoscope is intended for ease of use, particularly for elderly patients and individuals in remote areas who need regular monitoring. “Our goal is to make regular checkups accessible and effective for all,” said Singh.
Logicboots is also working on additional medtech innovations, including nanobot technology for cancer treatment, which is currently under development. The company’s vision focuses on transforming early-stage disease prediction and management within the healthcare sector.
The stethoscope is expected to launch soon, with the company committed to advancing accessible, early-detection solutions in medtech.
