The Super Terminal Expo is scheduled to return to AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong from November 4 to 6, 2025. Building upon its inaugural event in 2024, the upcoming expo will broaden its scope to encompass maritime and logistics sectors, in addition to its original emphasis on aviation.
Stella Fung, General Manager of Maritime & Aviation at Informa Markets, highlighted this strategic expansion: “Venturing into maritime and logistics, while retaining our stronghold in the aviation sector, represents a strategic enhancement of our portfolio. We aim to foster cross-sector synergies to collectively advance terminal operations and efficiencies.”
The 2025 expo will also feature collaborations with new aviation-related partners, including HKIA Consultancy Limited and Global Airport Development (GAD). Notably, GAD Asia will host a one-day event alongside Super Terminal Expo, focusing on airport development and infrastructure. Claudia Kunz, Event Director at CAPA & GAD, Informa Markets, stated, “The co-location of Super Terminal Expo and GAD Asia undoubtedly creates new opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and investment in the region’s aviation infrastructure.”
Continuing partnerships with organizations such as Aviation Week Network, Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, and the International Cooperation and Service Center of the Civil Aviation Administration of China are set to enhance the event’s offerings.
The expanded focus aims to address the interconnectedness of global supply chains by including ports and logistics hubs alongside airports. This approach is intended to foster networking opportunities and potential partnerships across these sectors. A 2024 report by PwC highlighted the resilience of Southeast Asia’s transport and logistics market, noting a compound annual growth rate of 6.8% in European imports from the region between 2013 and 2023.
Super Terminal Expo 2025 will concentrate on eight key sectors:
- Passenger Security & Border Control: Focusing on technologies and methodologies to ensure safety at terminals.
- Passenger Services & Operations: Emphasizing innovations that enhance convenience and customer satisfaction.
- Baggage and Cargo Handling Systems: Aiming to improve reliability in the transportation of goods.
- Apron Solutions & Ground Handling Equipment: Essential for efficient aircraft operations.
- Terminal & Warehouse Technology & IT: Addressing industry challenges through technological advancements.
- Advanced Air Mobility (AAM): Exploring new modes of transportation, including drones and eVTOL aircraft.
- Sustainability Solutions: Promoting environmentally responsible practices within the industry.
- Construction, Design & Fittings: Covering architectural and engineering innovations for modern terminals.
Exhibitors are offered an early bird discount of 10% if they register before June 30, 2025. The event is expected to host over 120 exhibitors and attract more than 2,300 visitors, providing a platform for industry experts and decision-makers to discuss trends and challenges in terminal operations across aviation, maritime, and logistics sectors.
