SAL Logistics Services has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Madinah Region Development Authority to enhance logistics services and introduce smart facilities at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
The partnership aims to improve air cargo operations, provide support for exporters and suppliers, and implement advanced facility systems at the airport. This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to position the country as a global logistics hub.
As part of the agreement, both parties will explore the implementation of smart facility systems at the airport and consider expanding these systems to SAL’s other logistics facilities. Additionally, a joint strategy will be developed to improve exports and logistics solutions for businesses in the region.
The agreement also includes plans for environmental sustainability studies at Madinah Airport, support for regional events and activities, and the creation of a joint task force to coordinate logistics workshops and initiatives.
