JASPAL GROUP (Jaspal Public Company Limited), a prominent fashion and lifestyle company in the ASEAN region, is advancing its logistics operations to incorporate sustainable practices. The company has introduced electric trucks (EV trucks) for freight transportation and is implementing measures to reduce waste, aligning its business operations with broader environmental goals.
JASPAL GROUP’s sustainability efforts are focused on transitioning to clean energy in logistics and minimizing waste throughout its operations. These initiatives are part of the company’s broader strategy to balance business growth with environmental responsibility.
Mr. Charan Singhsachathet, Chief Executive Officer of JASPAL GROUP, highlighted the company’s focus on sustainability as a core element of its business strategy. “We are integrating clean energy into our logistics operations while actively working to reduce waste. These efforts contribute to improving operational efficiency and creating value for both society and the environment,” he said.
Mr. Charan further emphasized the importance of sustainability in the fashion industry, noting that it extends beyond product design and manufacturing. “Sustainability should be embedded across the entire supply chain, from manufacturing processes and transportation to consumption. At JASPAL GROUP, we aim to promote these practices, including sustainable material sourcing, clean energy logistics, and recycled packaging,” he stated. The company’s initiatives support Thailand’s goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2065.
In partnership with Schenker (Thai) Company Limited, JASPAL GROUP has introduced four electric trucks to transport goods from its distribution centers to retail locations in Bangkok and surrounding areas. In 2024, this initiative helped reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2%. The company plans to expand its EV fleet to six vehicles in 2025 to further support transportation to provincial branches. In addition to its emission reduction efforts, JASPAL GROUP is focused on reducing waste. The company has implemented a circular system for cardboard boxes, reusing them for deliveries between distribution centers and branches to minimize single-use waste. JASPAL GROUP also promotes environmentally friendly consumer practices through campaigns encouraging the use of recycled paper bags.
