The Valencia-based startup Imperia has raised more than €10 million in funding to enhance its supply chain management platform. This investment was led by Burda Principal Investments and Samaipata, with support from Acurio Ventures and Draper B1.
Founded in 2019 by CEO Álvaro Bernabé and his partners Sergio Alemany and José Tomás Carrascoso, Imperia offers a flexible software platform that helps businesses optimize their supply chain operations. Their solution focuses on better predicting customer demand, improving purchasing processes, and refining production planning. Some well-known companies using Imperia’s services include ArmRest, Noel Alimentaria, Siemens Energy, and Faes Farma.
The new funds will be used for several key initiatives. Imperia plans to invest in artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to enhance its forecasting abilities, which will help clients manage their costs and risks more effectively. The company also aims to grow its presence in Europe, specifically in the United Kingdom, Italy, and France, by building local teams and forming partnerships. Additionally, Imperia plans to expand its international workforce in areas like sales, marketing, product development, and operations.
This funding comes after a previous investment of €3 million in March 2024, which was also led by Samaipata, along with contributions from All Iron Ventures and the Accel Starter Programme. That earlier investment helped Imperia gain traction in Spain and lay the groundwork for its international growth.
Imperia’s development is part of a larger trend in the industry, where effective supply chain management has become crucial due to worldwide disruptions. The company’s goal is to make advanced supply chain tools available to businesses of all sizes.
As Imperia continues to grow, it remains dedicated to providing flexible solutions that respond to the changing needs of the market, positioning itself as an important player in the supply chain management field.
