Logistics software developer Imaginnovate recently established a new business unit dedicated to empowering organizations in enhancing their supply chain resilience and forecasting outcomes through the application of data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Imaginnovate has attributed the formation of its Data Science Services group in part to supply chain challenges brought to the forefront during the recent COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Imaginnovate CEO Krishna Vattipalli, “Supply chain operators possess substantial volumes of business data within their systems. By leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to analyze this data, they can construct predictive models for more effective supply chain solutions.”
The Data Science Services unit offered by Imaginnovate aims to streamline various logistics processes, including order management, rating, freight matching, carrier booking, notifications, appointment scheduling, routing, and invoicing.
The unit’s initial team will consist of 15 data scientists, analysts, and domain experts, with plans for expanding its staff to 100 by the end of the year. Ravi Chavali, a technology professional with over two decades of experience in data analysis and data science, will lead the unit as its president.
