- Advanced Data Protection for iCloud: Apple has expanded its cloud data security by introducing Advanced Data Protection. This feature offers end-to-end encryption for a wide range of iCloud data, making it accessible only on trusted devices. It extends protection to sensitive iCloud data categories, including iCloud Backup, Notes, and Photos, bringing the total number of protected data categories to 23. However, certain data categories like iCloud Mail, Contacts, and Calendar remain outside the scope due to interoperability requirements.
