Brazil’s orange juice exports fell by nearly 20% from July to December 2024 compared to the same time last year, according to CitrusBR. As the largest producer and exporter of orange juice in the world, Brazil shipped about 535,600 metric tons during this period. The decline is largely due to bad weather and the spread of a disease affecting orange trees. Although the amount of juice exported went down, the money made from exports actually went up by 42.7% to $1.88 billion, thanks to higher prices in international markets, with Europe being the biggest buyer.
