WebCargo by Freightos has introduced WebCargo Pay in India, in partnership with Qatar Airways Cargo, making it the first airline to offer the service in the country. This new platform aims to simplify the booking and payment process for air cargo shipments, eliminating the need for traditional bank guarantees or collateral.
WebCargo Pay allows freight forwarders to book shipments and make payments more efficiently. Users can top up their WebCargo wallet in local currency, and the platform integrates real-time payment processing, which accelerates rate confirmations and booking procedures. This eliminates delays often caused by manual approval processes. Additionally, WebCargo Pay provides smaller and mid-sized forwarders with equal access to Qatar Airways Cargo’s capacity, improving their competitiveness during peak shipping periods.
The service is designed to enhance financial flexibility for businesses by removing the need for traditional guarantees. With the integration of WebCargo Pay, forwarders can access Qatar Airways Cargo’s global network seamlessly.
WebCargo is currently used by over 10,000 global forwarding offices for instant pricing and booking across 55 carriers as of September 2024.
